An all-women cooperative has come into operation in Damauli of Tanahun, national news agency reports.

The Madiseti Saving and Credit Cooperatives came into operation on Thursday.

The cooperative was set up to strengthen women, make them self-reliant and raise living standards of single women, disabled women and women from dalit and backward groups. The cooperative was opened on the initiative of the Madiseti FM, a radio operated by the community.
