Following the counter protests initiated by UML-affiliated Youth Force, the district headquarters of Dhakuta has turned tense from early morning Tuesday.

Cadres of the Youth Force and locals took to the streets against the Maoists after the latter burnt several motorbikes and a van last night in Dhankuta bazaar.

The agitators destroyed and burnt the party office of the main opposition Unified CPN (Maoist) in the district. They have also taken down sign boards from other Maoist affiliated organisations protesting against the Maoist’s unruly behaviour.

Maoist cadre Sher Bahadur Baniya has been severely injured in the scuffle. The Youth Force also attacked the house of Maoist district committee secretary Gyanendra Karki.

The protesters have been demanding compensation for properties burnt by the Maoist cadres and legal action against them.

Market places are closed and transport has been halted. Hundred of passengers have been stranded in several places along Dharan-Dhankuta highway due to closure.

Large number of security personnel has been deployed to keep the situation under control while the local authority had called an all-party meeting to solve the problem. nepalnews.com

Where is Krishna from Mahabharat ? Will someone call to him as everyday these
Maoist terrorists are showing their original faces in the society . Why we are
lookiing Maoists' unjust actions as if nothing happening time to awake and show
them that they are not nation loving Nepali but just become opportunitists
terrorists.
Youth  - Force proved they are as strong as YCL and Maoist   |120.136.25.xxx |2009-11-04 05:01:04

well done youth force......at least one party has gut to stand against Maoist
and challenge them. These Maoist has been terrorizing the innocent Nepalese for
decades and neither the state or citizen were able to defend them self. Maoist
think they can get away with murders, robbery, rape, vandalism and tortures just
because nobody is there to challenge or fight back....Youth force go head and
show them what you can do....

and provoking vandalism in the name of peaceful solution.

What is this?
A cry of fear!

Can’t you (Makune) find the better way to
confront with Moist other than Vandalism?

Moist are demanding the Kattuwal move
to be discussed and it seems they are trying peacefully.

Is this the right way
to react? Isn’t this shameful that the one running the government is provoking
vandalism and hadtal instead of making a peaceful way-out solution and letting
the prez move be discussed in the embly.

U people don’t have bit of moral
sense and prestige left to do such a shameful reaction in the current situation.
(I serious concern is any kind of anarchy plot you ill-minded selfish people
have made).

The moist are demanding for discussing and it is what we do best in
the democracy system.

Who has ill intensions? Is the one who protesting
peacefully for more than three months for a discussion of the prez unconsutional
move?

Or the one who is blocking all the gateways, visiting army personnel...

Well done to you locals and YF in Dhankuta! Hope people in every district follow
your example. Then Maoists learn good lesson from people.
I just don't
understand why people are following these blood thisrsy leaders who are living
in a luxury ( big building, multiple mobile phones, very expensive suits, super
expensive watch, cars, etc. Where did that money come from? Why didn't they
divide among party workers if they were really interested in creating just
sociey? Think about it.

Bravo!! Well done Youth Force. We appreciate for such recation against the
violent action of the Maoist.SIt has crossed the limit by trying to occupy the
Dhankuta Municipality. Is it their fathers'(Prachanda) property?
Go ahead,
encounter and crush them so that they would not venture doing such barbarian
activities.

This is good action by Youth Force. Really the Maoist doing worst in the
country. All we Nepali don't accept the Maoist behave. Now the Government should
start thinking to have right justice to Nepali people and Maoist should have
punished according to the law.
