The board meeting of the corporation held on Monday took the decision to this effect.
According to NOC, the price hikes will help it to mitigate the mounting loss.
As per the new price revision, both diesel and kerosene will from now on cost Rs 58 per liter.
The corporation has said that it had been selling diesel to customers by incurring a loss of Rs 5.50 per liter.
"Even after the new price hike, we will be bearing the loss Rs 2.50 per liter in diesel," said Ramesh Koirala of NOC.
The corporation is said to be preparing a circular about the new prices to send it to all depots at the soonest.
The price of petrol has however remained the same at Rs 77.50 per liter.
The Kathmandu Valley has been reeling under the dearth of specially petrol since the last few days. According to NOC, the state-owned monopoly in supply of petroleum products, the supply has been severely disrupted in eastern Nepal. nepalnews.com
