Five killed, several hurt in Tanahun jeep accident

Five passengers were killed and 18 others injured when an overcrowded jeep veered off the road and plunged into a gorge at Phirphire of Tanahun district Wednesday morning.

The jeep with the plate number Ga-1-Cha 4558 lost control and skidded off the road at around 11 am. The ill-fated jeep was heading for Dulegauda from Jaspur, Tanahun.

The deceased, all of them residents of Phirphire, have been identified as Santa Gurung, 30, Lok Prasad Gurung, 55, Rabin Gurung, 12, Radha Gurung, 17 and Purnima Gurung, 13.

The injured including the driver of the jeep have been undergoing treatment at Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara. nepalnews.com

My deep condolences for those who died at the jeep accident in Phirphire
,Tanahun.as a former resident of tanahun,i am very shocked with this news.i have
very close relationship with the area phirphire which is mentioned in
news.Sabai sana thula mrit atma ko chir shanti ko lagi bhagwan sanga pray
