Important government offices in Banke have fallen short of budget due to the failure to pass the annual budget from the parliament, reports RSS.

The office of the comptroller in Banke has blocked budget release for offices like district public health office, Bheri zonal hospital, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, District Education Office and so on.

The office said the local government has already spent one-third of the total budget allocated for them for this year and no more budget can be released for them until the annual budget is passed by the parliament.

Over 265 staff under district public health office have not been able to get the salary for even the previous month (Asoj) due to the lack of budget. nepalnews.com
