The UCPN (Maoist) has announced a gherao programme for Thursday and Friday to exert pressure on the government to restore "civilian supremacy".
The apex body of Nepali private sector has also appealed to Maoists to organize the gherao programme in a peaceful manner. The private sector has expressed their anxiety at the Maoist call to industrial workers to support their mass agitation scheduled for two days.
The Maoist party had also formally asked a number of business community representatives to lend their support to it.
"The business and industrial sectors, which are already faltering in political instability, would be further hit by such activities," said FNCCI.
It also requested the three major party leaders to reach a consensus on forming a national government in order to help improve investment climate of the country. nepalnews.com
