A team of 12 wildlife technicians along with some army men and eight elephant troops were deployed to catch the tiger after forest ministry directed Chitwan National Park (CNP) to do so on October 5.
After a search for almost a week, the team traced the tiger in Majhuwa Community Forest on Saturday. The same evening, the team set up a trap using a buffalo as decoy.
The next day, the tiger was captured after making it unconsciousness. The tiger has been kept at animal detention centre in CNP's headquarters, Kasara. nepalnews.com
