KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has released the foreign exchange rates for Friday, showing a rise in the value of several major currencies, while the Australian dollar and British pound have dropped slightly.
The US dollar, euro, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have all appreciated. The buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 136.59, while the selling rate is NPR 137.19. This marks a slight increase after two days of decline. Yesterday, the rates stood at NPR 136.14 and NPR 136.74, respectively.
The euro has also edged up today. Its buying rate is NPR 152.91, and the selling rate is NPR 153.58, compared to Thursday’s NPR 152.76 and NPR 153.74.
In contrast, the British pound has slightly fallen. Today, it is being bought at NPR 181.46 and sold at NPR 182.26, down from NPR 181.51 and NPR 182.31 the previous day.
The Australian dollar also dipped, with a buying rate of NPR 87.51 and a selling rate of NPR 87.90, compared to Thursday’s NPR 88.05 and NPR 88.44.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar continues to strengthen, with the buying rate at NPR 444.27 and the selling rate at NPR 446.22, up from NPR 442.92 and NPR 444.87.
The Bahraini dinar also saw a slight gain, now trading at NPR 362.33 (buying) and NPR 363.92 (selling), compared to NPR 361.14 and NPR 362.73 the previous day.
