KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered two media outlets, Bizmandu and Nepal Khabar, to remove content deemed defamatory against Securities Board Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha.

The single bench of Judge Pitambar Sharma issued the temporary stay order after Shrestha filed a petition claiming the published material harmed his reputation.

The court also directed the defendants to submit a written response within 15 days.

A hearing on the continuation of the order is scheduled for Asar 4 (June 18).
