KATHMANDU: Gold price, which had been rising continuously for the past three days, has sharply fallen today (Wednesday).
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold has dropped by 2,700 rupees per tola, reaching 167,500 rupees today, down from 170,200 rupees yesterday.
Gold prices had been on the rise from Sunday to Tuesday. On Tuesday, the price of gold increased by 600 rupees per tola, following a 1,400 rupee increase on Monday.
On Sunday, gold was traded at 168,200 rupees per tola. Over the past three days, the price of gold had risen by 5,700 rupees, with a slight dip of 400 rupees per tola on Friday.
In addition, the price of silver has also decreased today by 15 rupees per tola, now standing at 1,930 rupees per tola.
