KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices have both seen an increase today after a drop on Thursday, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.
After falling by Rs 300 per tola on Thursday, the price of gold has risen by Rs 1,600 per tola today. Gold is now priced at Rs 150,900 per tola, up from Rs 149,300 yesterday.
Silver prices also went up today, with an increase of Rs 45 per tola. Silver is now priced at Rs 1,845 per tola, compared to Rs 1,800 yesterday.
The recent fluctuations in both gold and silver prices are mainly attributed to the government's reduction in customs duties.
