KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market reached a new record on Monday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold was set at NPR 191,000 per tola (approximately 11.66 grams) on Monday. The Federation stated that this is the highest price recorded so far.
Previously, on Thursday, the price of gold had reached NPR 190,600 per tola. Although there were minor fluctuations in between, by Monday, the price had climbed to an all-time high.
On Sunday, the price of gold was NPR 189,800 per tola. Compared to Sunday, the price increased by NPR 1,200 per tola on Monday.
Similarly, the price of silver has remained stable. The price of silver stood at NPR 1,960 per tola on Sunday and remained unchanged on Monday as well.
