Gold prices reach record high today

KATHMANDU: On Tuesday, the price of gold in the Nepali market surged by NPR 6,900 per tola in a single day, nearing the NPR 200,000 mark.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold, which was NPR 191,000 per tola the previous day, rose to NPR 197,900 per tola on Tuesday.

The increase in the international market has influenced the local market as well. According to international media, gold prices are still on an upward trend. According to the Federation, Tuesday’s rate is the highest ever recorded.

Similarly, the price of silver has also seen a slight increase. On Monday, silver was priced at NPR 1,960 per tola, which increased to NPR 1,970 per tola on Tuesday.
