BIRATNAGAR: The Koshi Province government has presented an annual revenue and expenditure estimate totaling Rs 35.87 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26.
The budget was tabled in the provincial assembly on Sunday by Ram Bahadur Rana Magar, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Koshi Province.
According to Minister Rana Magar, the proposed budget allocates Rs 18.67 billion, or 52 percent of the total, toward recurrent (operational) expenditures.
Similarly, Rs 17.10 billion, or 47.7 percent, has been earmarked for capital expenditures, while Rs 100 million, or 0.3 percent, is set aside for financial management.
The provincial government aims to balance service delivery, development activities, and financial discipline through this budget plan for the new fiscal year.
