Nepal Rastra Bank announces foreign exchange rates for Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates applicable for Monday. As per the bank, one US dollar will be bought at Rs 136.52 and sold at Rs 137.12.

The euro is being traded at Rs 152.40 for buying and Rs 153.07 for selling, while the UK pound sterling has been valued at Rs 181.22 for buying and Rs 182.02 for selling.

Likewise, the buying rate for the Swiss franc is Rs 162.94 and the selling rate is Rs 163.66.

The Australian dollar stands at Rs 87.41 for buying and Rs 87.80 for selling. The Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 97.76 and Rs 98.18 respectively, while the Singapore dollar is priced at Rs 105.03 for buying and Rs 105.49 for selling.

Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.37 and sold at Rs 9.42.

Similarly, the Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 18.94 for buying and Rs 19.02 for selling. The Saudi riyal stands at Rs 36.40 and Rs 36.56 respectively, while the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 37.45 for buying and Rs 37.62 for selling.

Additionally, one Thai baht is set at Rs 4.09 for buying and Rs 4.11 for selling. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 37.17 and Rs 37.34, while the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 31.78 and a selling rate of Rs 31.92.

For 100 South Korean won, the rates are Rs 9.76 and Rs 9.80. The Swedish kronor stands at Rs 13.96 for buying and Rs 14.02 for selling, while the Danish kronor is priced at Rs 20.43 and Rs 20.52 respectively.

In addition, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 17.47 for buying and Rs 17.55 for selling. High-value currencies like the Kuwaiti dinar, Bahraini dinar, and Omani rial are being traded at Rs 444.04, Rs 362.12, and Rs 354.59 for buying, and Rs 445.99, Rs 363.71, and Rs 356.15 for selling, respectively.

As for the Indian currency, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has noted that these rates may be updated if necessary and that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates. The latest exchange rates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
