KATHMANDU: As usual, Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for today, Saturday.
After two consecutive days of increase, the US dollar has slightly declined. According to the central bank, the buying rate of 1 US dollar is Rs 136.05, while the selling rate is Rs 136.65.
On Thursday, the buying rate was Rs 136.73 and the selling rate Rs 137.33. Similarly, on Tuesday, the buying and selling rates were Rs 136.72 and Rs 137.32, respectively.
In terms of other currencies, the buying rate of 1 euro is Rs 154.51 and the selling rate is Rs 155.19. The buying rate for 1 UK pound sterling is Rs 183.67 and the selling rate is Rs 184.48. The Swiss franc is being bought at Rs 164.85 and sold at Rs 165.58.
Likewise, the Australian dollar is trading at Rs 87.94 for buying and Rs 88.33 for selling. The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 98.50 and a selling rate of Rs 98.93. The Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 105.81 and sold at Rs 106.28.
Ten Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.50 for buying and Rs 9.54 for selling. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 18.94 for buying and Rs 19.02 for selling.
The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 36.27 and a selling rate of Rs 36.43, while the Qatari riyal is at Rs 37.33 for buying and Rs 37.49 for selling.
The Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.17 for buying and Rs 4.19 for selling. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 37.04 for buying and Rs 37.20 for selling.
SImilarly, the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 32.16 and a selling rate of Rs 32.30. One hundred South Korean won are valued at Rs 9.94 for buying and Rs 9.98 for selling.
The Swedish kronor has a buying rate of Rs 14.28 and a selling rate of Rs 14.34, while the Danish kronor is at Rs 20.71 for buying and Rs 20.80 for selling.
The Hong Kong dollar is trading at Rs 17.37 for buying and Rs 17.45 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of Rs 443.61 and a selling rate of Rs 445.56. The Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 360.85 and sold at Rs 362.44. The Omani rial stands at Rs 353.40 for buying and Rs 354.96 for selling.
Meanwhile, the rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
