Nepal Rastra Bank sets new foreign exchange rates for Friday

KATHMANDU; Nepal Rastra Bank has released the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Friday), with most major international currencies seeing a decline in value.

The US dollar, in particular, continues its recent downward trend. Today, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 136.30, while the selling rate is NPR 136.39.

This marks a drop from yesterday’s rates of NPR 136.79 (buying) and NPR 137.39 (selling). The dollar had peaked on Magh 25, with the highest recorded rates at NPR 139.83 for buying and NPR 140.43 for selling.

Similarly, the euro is being traded at NPR 154.93 for buying and NPR 155.61 for selling today, slightly lower than yesterday’s NPR 155.51 and NPR 156.19.

The British pound also dipped, now set at NPR 180.40 for buying and NPR 181.19 for selling, down from yesterday’s NPR 181.56 and NPR 182.36.

The Australian dollar is currently at NPR 86.72 (buying) and NPR 87.10 (selling), compared to yesterday’s NPR 87.20 and NPR 87.58.

The Kuwaiti dinar has also dropped, trading today at NPR 444.58 for buying and NPR 446.54 for selling, slightly lower than the previous day’s NPR 446.24 and NPR 448.20.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar is priced at NPR 361.60 for buying and NPR 363.19 for selling today, showing a minor decrease from yesterday’s NPR 362.87 and NPR 364.46.
