NEPSE declines for fourth consecutive trading day

KATHMANDU: The stock market has fallen for the fourth consecutive trading day. The market, which has been falling since the first day of the week, fell another 32.38 points on Wednesday.

After that decline, the NEPSE index settled at 2,655 points. As the market fell, the trading volume also decreased. The previous day’s turnover was Rs 8.32 billion, but today it was Rs 7.57 billion.

While the prices of 28 companies increased, 217 decreased and one remained unchanged. The development bank sector fell the most by 2.09 percent. Most sectors fell by more than 1 percent.

Banking 1.23, finance 1.15, hotels and tourism 1.01, hydropower 1.78, investment 1.76, life insurance 0.45, microfinance 1.04, non-life insurance 0.97, others 1.50 and trade 0.30 percent. The product group remained in the green under 1 point.

The prices of two companies Nepal Micro Insurance and Crest Microlife Insurance increased by 10 percent. Radhi Vidyut rose 4.33 percent, and Vindhyabasini Hydropower rose 2.70 percent.

The companies that saw the most trading on Wednesday were Radhi Vidyut, NRN Infrastructure, Ngadi Group, Sanima Mai Hydropower, and HIDCL.
