NEPSE declines for third consecutive day

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a decline for the third consecutive day today. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 8.14 points to settle at 2,623.83.

According to the NEPSE, 24,641,261 shares of 314 companies were bought and sold 79,777 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs 9,374,122,655. In today’s trading, the hydropower group increased by 0.61 percent, microfinance by 0.04 percent, mutual fund by 0.23 percent and trade by 0.40 percent, while all other sub-indices decreased.

Banking by 0.70 percent, development bank by 1.00 percent, finance by 1.24 percent, hotel and tourism by 0.50 percent and investment by 0.11 percent. Similarly, investment decreased by 0.11 percent, life insurance decreased by 0.07 percent, production and processing decreased by 0.72 percent, non-life insurance decreased by 0.18 percent and other groups decreased by 1.16 percent.

Today, the share prices of Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Nepal Microinsurance Company Limited have entered a positive circuit, while the share price of Bhuleog Energy Development Company Limited has entered a negative circuit.

In terms of transaction amount, Radhi Vidyut Company Limited has the highest turnover today, worth Rs 580 million, 424 thousand, 421. In terms of the number of shares traded, the highest number of shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited Promoter has been bought and sold, worth 1.442 thousand, 885 units.
