NEPSE decreases by 10.14 to settle at 2,704.70

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has declined by double digits. Today, the index decreased by 10.14 points to settle at 2,704.70.

According to the NESPE, 935,872 shares of 331 companies were bought and sold 57,585 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 5.40 billion 83.14 million.

In today’s trading, the finance group increased by 0.12, hotel and tourism by 0.18, investment by 0.18 and production and processing by 0.44 percent, while all other sub-indices decreased. Banking by 0.21, development bank by 0.92, hydropower by 0.23, life insurance by 0.51, microfinance by 0.01, non-life insurance by 0.02, trade by 3.38 and other groups by 0.56 percent.

In today’s trading, the share price of Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited increased by 9.86 percent. The share price of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited decreased by 5.63 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, the highest transaction value today was recorded by Himalayan Insurance Limited, worth Rs. 439.368 million, while the highest number of shares traded was recorded by Ghalemdi Hydro Limited, worth 553,804 units.
