NEPSE drops by 12.04 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit decline. Today, the NEPSE index dropped by 12.04 points to settle at 2,661.64.

According to the NEPSE, 37.99 million shares of 315 companies were bought and sold 103,319 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 11.65 billion 17,851.

In today’s trading, the banking sector decreased by 0.82, development banks by 1.56, hotels and tourism by 0.14, investment by 0.04, microfinance by 0.13, non-life insurance by 0.17, trade by 2 and other sub-indices by 1.81 percent.

The finance sector increased the most by 4.30 percent. Similarly, hydropower increased by 0.03 percent, life insurance by 0.01 percent, production and processing by 0.17 percent, and mutual funds by 0.07 percent.

Nepal Microinsurance Company Limited and Crest Microlife Insurance Limited saw a positive circuit in their share prices today. In terms of trading volume, Ngadi Group Power Limited recorded the highest trading volume of Rs. 784.596 million, equivalent to Rs. 413 million.
