NEPSE drops by 14.8 points on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The stock market continued to decline on Wednesday. The market, which had fallen 7.6 points the previous day, fell 14.8 points today. The trading volume increased as the market fell.

The previous day’s turnover was Rs 4.34 billion, which was Rs 5.14 billion today. While the value of 53 companies increased, 183 decreased, while 7 remained unchanged. Hotel and tourism increased by 0.10 percent and trade by 0.60 percent, while all other sector indicators decreased.

The finance sector decreased the most by 1.53 percent. Banking by 0.56, development bank by 0.13, hydropower by 0.67, investment by 0.49, life insurance by 1.48, manufacturing by 0.33, microfinance by 0.48, non-life insurance by 0.51, and other sectors by 0.51 percent.

The value of Mithila Laghubitta increased by 9.3 percent. The value of Bhool Energy by 7.3, and Green Development Bank by 7 percent.

Based on transaction amount, Himalayan Reinsurance, NRN Infrastructure, Nepal Reinsurance, Green Development Bank, and Himalayan Power Partner were respectively at the top.
