NEPSE drops by 15 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit decline. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 15.08 points to settle at 2,631.98. This is a decline of 0.57 percent.

According to the NEPSE, 18.491 million shares of 311 companies were bought and sold 66,265 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs. 7.575 billion.

While the sub-index of the ‘mutual fund’ group increased by 0.07 percent, the sub-index of all other groups decreased. The sub-index of the finance group decreased the most by 1.22 percent. Banking decreased by 0.57, Development Bank decreased by 0.90, Hotel and Tourism decreased by 0.20, Investment decreased by 0.83 and Life Insurance decreased by 0.54 percent.

Similarly, manufacturing and processing decreased by 0.34, microfinance by 0.78, non-life insurance by 0.32, trade by 0.51 and other groups by 0.75 percent.

Today, the share prices of Corporate Development Bank Limited and Crest Microlife Insurance Limited have entered a positive circuit. Among the biggest losers, the share price of Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company Limited has decreased by 9.98 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, Sanimamai Hydropower Limited has the highest turnover today, worth Rs 824.373 million. In terms of the number of shares traded, Ngadi Group Power Limited has the highest turnover of Rs 1.698 million.
