NEPSE drops by 3.44 points today

KATHMANDU: The stock market fell 3.44 points to settle at 2,666 points on Tuesday. Based on the last trading price of listed companies, the NEPSE increased by 1.73 points, and the market decreased by 3.44 points compared to the previous day.

A transaction of Rs 5.3 billion was made in the market today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the market, which has been declining since the start of trading, started to recover from 1 pm. This amount of transaction was made after the sale of 10 million shares. In this transaction, the price of 121 shares increased and 123 shares decreased.

According to the NEPSE, the shares of the two companies are in a positive circuit. When the shares of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) and Win Nepal Laghubitta increased by 10 percent, investors earned Rs 1,620.80 paisa and Rs 272.62 per share, respectively. In addition, investors of Nepal Micro Insurance Company also earned 9.99 percent per share. Barahi Hydropower Public Company Limited fell by 6.72 percent, Sindhu Bikas Bank by 6.52 percent, Community Microfinance by 5.28 percent, Upkar Microfinance by 4.90 percent and Sayapatri Hydropower by 3.85 percent.

Today, NRN Infrastructure and Development recorded the highest turnover of Rs 590 million. Similarly, Himalayan Reinsurance Company recorded shares worth Rs 400 million, Nepal Reinsurance Company recorded shares worth Rs 230 million, United Modi Hydropower recorded shares worth Rs 210 million and Radhi Hydropower recorded shares worth Rs 180 million. Today, the sub-indices of Commercial Banks, Finance, Manufacturing and Processing, Microfinance, Non-Life Insurance and Trade turned green.

The Manufacturing and Processing Group rose the most by 1.57 percent. Similarly, Finance increased by 0.60, Non-Life Insurance by 0.13 and Trade by 0.70 percent. Banking decreased by 0.30 percent, development banks by 0.16 percent, hotels and tourism by 0.48 percent, hydropower by 0.49 percent, investment by 0.25 percent, life insurance by 0.17 percent, microfinance by 0.08 percent, and others by 0.57 percent.
