NEPSE increases by 29.87 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased for the second consecutive day of trading this week. Today, NEPSE increased by 29.87 points to settle at 2,727.91. This is an increase of 1.10 percent.

According to NEPSE, 18 million 81 thousand 168 shares of 302 companies were bought and sold 102 thousand 861 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 10 billion 496 54 thousand 832.

In today’s trading, banking increased by 2.16, hotel and tourism by 2.29, microfinance by 2.45 and other groups by 2.47 percent. Similarly, development banks increased by 0.33, investment by 0.20, life insurance by 0.89, production and processing by 0.77, mutual funds by 0.52 and non-life insurance by 1.07 percent. The sub-indices of three groups have decreased. The finance group has decreased by 0.84 percent, the hydropower group has decreased by 0.15 percent, and the business group has decreased by 1.27 percent.

The share prices of six companies have entered a positive circuit. The share prices of Bin Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited, Skull Development Bank Limited, Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited, and Dibyeshwori Hydropower Limited have increased by 10 percent. The share price of Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited has entered a negative circuit.

In terms of transaction amount, Nepal Insurance Company Limited has the highest transaction value today, worth Rs. 327.435 million. In terms of the number of shares traded, Kumari Bank Limited has the highest transaction value of Rs. 41.634 million.
