KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a general improvement. Today, the NEPSE increased by 3.58 points to stand at 2,661.60.

According to the NEPSE, 28,438,428 shares of 314 companies were bought and sold 89,161 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 10.875991 billion. In today’s trading, the hotel and tourism group increased by 0.38 percent, hydropower by 1.00 percent, investment by 1.77 percent, production and processing by 0.41 percent, mutual fund by 0.24 percent and trade group by 1.18 percent. Sub-indices of all other groups decreased.

Banking 0.39, Development Bank 0.02, Finance 1.05, Life Insurance 0.11, Microfinance 0.94, Non-Life Insurance 0.33 and other sub-indices decreased by 0.57 percent.

Nepal Microinsurance Company Limited and Crest Microlife Insurance Limited have seen a positive circuit in their share prices today, while Bin Nepal Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited has seen a negative circuit in its share price.

Based on the transaction amount, Bin Nepal Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited has seen the highest share price of Rs. 861.738 crore today.
