KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 9.08 points, or 0.34%, closing at 2,655.38 today.

A total of 286,076,58 shares from 311 companies were traded 102,895 times, amounting to NPR 1.251 billion in turnover.

Among sectors, finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower, and mutual funds indices rose, while others declined.

Notably, share prices of Pure Energy Limited rose by 9.99%, Chandragiri Hills Limited by 0.78%, and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company Limited by 5.99%. Meanwhile, Guras Laghubitta Financial Institution Limited fell by 9.90%, Rewa Falls Power Limited by 0.97%, and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited by 5.58%.

Following today’s trading, the market capitalization reached NPR 4.423 trillion.
