NEPSE rises by 49 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has risen by a high point. Today, the NEPSE index rose by 49.09 points to settle at 2,677.45. This is an increase of 1.86 percent.

According to the NEPSE, 16,888,459 shares of 310 companies were bought and sold 73,054 times, generating a turnover of Rs 7.31 billion 2.79 billion 196.

In today’s trading, all the sub-indices of the group were seen in the green. The hotel and tourism group increased the most by 3.42 percent. Banking increased by 1.91 percent, development bank by 2.95 percent, finance by 2.44 percent, hydropower by 2.45 percent and investment group by 2.33 percent. Similarly, life insurance increased by 1.32 percent, production and processing by 1.89 percent, microfinance by 1.13 percent, mutual funds by 0.33 percent, non-life insurance by 1.74 percent, trade by 1.49 percent and other groups by 0.84 percent.

The share prices of Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited and Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited have entered a positive circuit today. Among the biggest losers, the share price of Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has decreased by 3.09 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, the highest share value of Radhi Vidyut Company Limited worth Rs 418 million was bought and sold today. In terms of the number of shares traded, the highest share value of Prabhu Select Fund was bought and sold with 1.472 million three hundred units.
