KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which has been declining continuously for the last seven trading days, has seen a double-digit growth today. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 17.28 points to stand at 2,736.48.
According to the NEPSE, 29.241,365 shares of 323 different companies were bought and sold 79,236 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 8.235,268,755.
In today’s trading, the development bank group and the microfinance group decreased by 0.33 percent, while the sub-indices of all other groups increased. The investment group increased the most by 1.76 percent and the other groups by 1.57 percent.
Banking 0.53, Finance 0.02, Hotel and Tourism 0.64, Hydropower 0.85, Life Insurance 0.64, Production and Processing 0.18, Mutual Fund 0.10, Non-Life Insurance 0.40 and Business Group 0.21 percent increased.
The share price of People’s Hydropower Company Limited increased the most today by 9.79 percent. Also, the share price of Bin Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has entered a negative circuit.
Based on the transaction amount and number of shares traded, Machhapuchhre Bank Limited’s promoter shares were the most traded today, with 8,136,521 units worth Rs. 813,652,100, according to NEPSE.
