KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for Saturday.
As per the latest rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 136.43, while the selling rate stands at NPR 137.03.
The euro is being bought at NPR 155.05 and sold at NPR 155.73. Likewise, the British pound is set at NPR 181.64 for buying and NPR 182.44 for selling. The Swiss franc is trading at NPR 164.67 (buying) and NPR 165.40 (selling).
For other major currencies: the Australian dollar is fixed at NPR 87.07 (buying) and NPR 87.45 (selling); the Canadian dollar at NPR 98.28 and NPR 98.71; and the Singapore dollar at NPR 103.81 and NPR 104.26, respectively.
Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are priced at NPR 9.52 (buying) and NPR 9.56 (selling), while one Chinese yuan trades at NPR 18.72 and NPR 18.80.
The Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at NPR 36.37 (buying) and NPR 36.53 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at NPR 37.43 and NPR 37.59.
The Thai baht is set at NPR 4.07 for buying and NPR 4.09 for selling. The UAE dirham is at NPR 37.14 and NPR 37.31, and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 31.19 and NPR 31.33.
Other notable rates include: 100 South Korean won at NPR 9.48 (buying) and NPR 9.52 (selling); the Swedish kronor at NPR 14.08 and NPR 14.14; and the Danish kronor at NPR 20.77 and NPR 20.86.
The Hong Kong dollar is trading at NPR 17.59 (buying) and NPR 17.67 (selling). Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar is valued at NPR 444.93 and NPR 446.89, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 361.95 and NPR 363.54, and the Omani rial at NPR 354.34 and NPR 355.90.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
