NRB updates foreign currency exchange rates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the updated foreign exchange rates for Tuesday, showing a decline in the value of all major foreign currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Australian dollar, and various Gulf currencies.

According to the latest update, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 135.76, while the selling rate stands at NPR 136.36. In comparison, Monday’s rates were NPR 136.43 (buying) and NPR 137.03 (selling).

For the euro, the buying rate today is NPR 154.01 and the selling rate is NPR 155.69, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 155.05 (buying) and NPR 155.73 (selling).

The pound sterling is priced at NPR 181.05 for buying and NPR 181.85 for selling today, while yesterday’s rates were NPR 181.66 (buying) and NPR 182.46 (selling).

The Australian dollar is currently trading at NPR 86.83 (buying) and NPR 87.21 (selling), down from NPR 87.26 (buying) and NPR 87.64 (selling) yesterday.

For the Kuwaiti dinar, the buying rate is NPR 442.52 and the selling rate is NPR 444.47, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 444.90 (buying) and NPR 446.86 (selling).

The Bahraini dinar is priced at NPR 360.14 for buying and NPR 361.74 for selling today, with yesterday’s rates being NPR 361.88 (buying) and NPR 363.47 (selling).

The Nepal Rastra Bank has indicated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time, depending on market conditions.
