KATHMANDU: The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has removed 14 companies from its IPO pipeline, most of which are hydropower companies.

According to a high-level SEBON source informed to Nepal News, the companies were removed because they failed to meet key requirements such as securing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or maintaining a minimum net worth of 90 rupees. However, the board has clarified that these companies can reapply for IPO approval after fulfilling the necessary criteria.

Among the delisted firms are Accord Pharmaceuticals, Apex Hospitality, Annapurna Cable Car, Orchid Holdings, Prabhu Helicopter, and Kantipur Television.

The hydropower companies removed from the IPO pipeline include Laughing Buddha Power Nepal, Yambaling Hydropower, Unique Hydropower, Beni Hydro, Puwa Khola One Hydro, Sanima Hydro, Richet Hydropower, and Jhapa Energy.
