KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has informed the public about scheduled power outages in several parts of Kathmandu today due to maintenance and repair work.

According to the NEA, power interruptions will affect areas served by different distribution centers.

From 11 AM to 4 PM today, power will be cut in areas served by the Matatirtha feeder under the Balambu distribution center for conductor upgrades. This will impact locations like Kanchan Gate, Bosigaun, Bothali, and Satungal Chowk, which are also connected to the Satungal feeder of the same distribution center.

In the Jorpati distribution center, there will be power cuts from 10 AM to 1 PM today in areas covered by the Danchhi feeder, including Makalbari, Dakshindhoka, Tiwari Tole, Shivachowk, Aryal Gaon, Greenhill City, Bhadrabas, Na Gaun, Hariyali Nagar, and Gajarkot. The outages are related to wire stretching in Mulpani Pipalbot.

Additionally, power will be interrupted in areas served by the Mulpani feeder, such as Mulpani Chaur, Thali, Thapa Chowk, Laxminarayan Chowk, Chapabot, Devaldhara, Manakamnamai Mandir, Mulpani Khare, Dumakhal, Danchhi, Bhadrabas, and Gajarkot from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Furthermore, power will be cut in areas under the Sankhu feeder of the Jorpati distribution center, including Naya Pati, Bramhakhel, Indrayani, Sankhu, Jarsingpauwa, Nanglebhare, Gagal, Gagalphedi, and Mulpani Pipalbot.

The NEA has stated that any lines completed earlier than expected will be restored sooner.
