KATHMANDU: The process of deporting Nepali citizens from the United States continues, with the Donald Trump administration taking action against those living in the country illegally.

Last week, two more Nepalis were deported. Sources have confirmed that they were sent back to Nepal after residing in the US without proper documentation.

The deportees are reported to be from the Jaiswal and Karki families, and they were returned to Kathmandu via India on an Air India flight.

These individuals had been living in the US in violation of immigration laws.

Since taking office on January 20, President Trump has adopted a more aggressive stance towards immigrants residing in the US illegally, with the administration accelerating the deportation of such individuals.

In some cases, including for immigrants from countries like India, deportations have even been carried out using US military ships.
