KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba reached Bangkok today, leading the Nepali delegation to the 81st session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

Dr. Deuba was welcomed at Suvarnabhumi Airport by Nepal’s Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, along with senior officials from UNESCAP.

The high-level regional gathering, taking place in Bangkok this week, brings together representatives from across the Asia-Pacific to discuss strategies for sustainable development and regional cooperation.

This year’s session is being held under the theme “Leveraging Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific.”

Foreign Minister Deuba is scheduled to deliver Nepal’s national statement during the session, outlining the country’s development priorities and reaffirming its commitment to the 2030 Agenda. She is also expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.
