KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.
During the meeting, Ambassador Srivastava briefed Prime Minister Oli on the recent tensions and developments between India and Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, on April 22.
He clarified that while India had taken retaliatory action at the site of the attack, the claims of a jet strike were false.
Ambassador Srivastava also expressed gratitude for the statement issued by the Government of Nepal on Thursday regarding the incident.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli reiterated Nepal’s commitment to global peace and condemned the terrorist attack in line with its firm stance against all forms of terrorism.
He also emphasized that Nepal would not allow any warring forces to use its territory against its neighboring countries.
