PM Oli concludes Spain visit, returns home after high-level diplomatic engagements

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has returned home after completing his official visit to Spain.

He had traveled to attend the ‘Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development,’ held in Seville, leading a high-level Nepali delegation. PM Oli flew back to Kathmandu via Doha, Qatar, after concluding his engagements in Madrid, Spain.

Departing on Asar 14 (June 28), Prime Minister Oli met with several global leaders during his stay. He held bilateral talks with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

In addition, he conducted meetings with Estonian President Alar Karis, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.

During the conference, Prime Minister Oli delivered a keynote address on financing for development and chaired a high-level session focused on the needs of Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

On Thursday, before returning home, Prime Minister Oli visited the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid.

He also inspected the Nepali Embassy in Madrid and interacted with members of the Nepali diaspora residing in Spain.
