KATHMANDU: The Nepali movie ‘Anjila’, based on the life of national women’s football team captain and goalkeeper Anjila Tumbapo Subba, is now being screened for just Rs. 100 as it nears its 100th day in theaters.

The announcement was made by producer Prem Kumar Shrestha, who stated that starting from the film’s 93rd day, tickets would be available at this special rate in celebration of its sustained success. Shrestha remarked that completing 100 days in cinemas during the digital era is a remarkable achievement, and this initiative aims to make the inspiring story accessible to more viewers.

The offer is currently available at QFX Cinema in City Square Mall, Samakhusi, Kathmandu. Directed by Milan Chams, Anjila features performances by Anjila Subba herself along with prominent actors Dayahang Rai, Sirjana Subba, Bijay Baral, and Mao Tse Gurung. Since its release on March 12, 2024 (Falgun 29, 2080), the film has earned over Rs. 10 crore at the domestic box office.

According to Shrestha, while the film has already seen commercial success, the discounted ticket price is a way to celebrate its milestone and encourage audiences to engage with motivational stories rooted in Nepali sports and real-life struggles.
