Anju Panta Honored as ‘Decade Singer’; Daughter Paritoshika Also Receives New Talent Award

KATHMANDU: Popular singer Anju Panta was recently honored with the title of “Decade Singer” for her long and dedicated contribution to Nepali music. She received the National Capital Honor Award 2081 during the Capital Awards event held in Kathmandu. The award was presented by Deputy Speaker Indira Rana.
Anju Panta has been active in the Nepali music industry for over 30 years and has sung in more than 8,000 songs. She is especially known for her hit ghazal “Na Birse Timilai Na Pae Timilai,” which remains her most iconic song.

Currently, she is also serving as a judge on the popular singing reality show “Mero Voice Universe.”

Alongside, her daughter Paritoshika Panta, a budding actress and model, was honored with the ‘New Talent Capital Award’. She made her debut in the music video ‘Dherai Maya Nadeu Malai,’ which was composed by her mother. The video played a key role in her recognition.

Paritoshika has also acted in several other music videos and received acting training from Mandala Theatre. Expressing her joy, she said, “This award has motivated me to work even harder. I’m involved in some new projects and will continue to give my best in the days ahead.”
