KATHMANDU: The release date for the film Balidan has been announced, accompanied by the release of two posters.
The production team has confirmed that the film will be released on the 13th of Asoj, coinciding with the 13th day of the Dashain festival in 2082 BS.
The public’s first look at the film features two different appearances of the protagonist, Sameer Bhatt. Director Santosh Sen describes Balidan as a story of exploitation, injustice, and the struggle against the so-called heroes of society who play a dominant role in Nepal.
Among the two posters released, one shows Sameer Bhatt standing in front of Kalimata, holding a trident and weapons in an emotional pose. This scene comes after Sameer sacrifices the demonic forces in the film.
The second poster shows Sameer engaged in a battle, massacring villains, providing a glimpse into the action-packed style of the film’s storyline.
The production team has emphasized the significant effort put into creating this film. A 30-member team, led by renowned South Indian action director Sam, shot the action scenes using advanced technology. Additionally, a 42-foot tall statue of Kalimata was built for the climax scene.
Along with Sameer Bhatt, the film stars Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Richa Sharma, Kavita Rai, and others, with 150 fighters from South Indian films contributing to the action sequences.
The film is produced by Ashuseen Films, with investment from Pawan Bradford Beast and executive production by Prem Puri.
