Dharmendra, Arbaaz Khan to reunite after 27 years for film ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se’

MUMBAI: In a momentous reunion for Bollywood fans, legendary actor Dharmendra and popular star Arbaaz Khan are returning to the silver screen together after a remarkable gap of 27 years.

The duo, who last shared screen space in the 1998 hit ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, are teaming up once again for the upcoming romantic drama ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se’.

The film is being produced by Ronnie Rodrigues, chairman of Pearl Group of Companies and Cinebuster Magazine Pvt. Ltd., under the banner of PBC Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd. The project was officially launched with a grand muhurat ceremony in Mumbai, attended by prominent names from the entertainment industry.

Among the key highlights of the launch event were the appearances of seasoned comedian Rajpal Yadav, actress Vidya Malavade, and legendary playback singer Udit Narayan, who performed a track from the film live on stage—setting the tone for the film’s romantic and nostalgic essence.

The event marked not only the beginning of production but also the revival of a cherished cinematic pairing that has left a lasting impact on audiences since the late 90s.

Speaking at the launch, Dharmendra, full of charm and energy, expressed his happiness to be part of the film. He referred to ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se’ as a “mix veg of entertainment,” emphasizing its emotional depth, humor, romance, and dramatic elements. The veteran star also recalled his camaraderie with Arbaaz Khan and praised the script for being engaging and refreshing.

Arbaaz Khan, visibly excited about the reunion, said that sharing the screen with Dharmendra again felt like coming full circle in his acting journey. He noted that the film is not just a comeback collaboration but also a celebration of timeless bonds in cinema. Arbaaz also spoke highly of the film’s young team and the positive energy they bring to the project.

The film is being helmed by director Sabir Sheikh, who has promised an emotionally engaging story that blends traditional Bollywood romance with modern storytelling techniques.
