Starting this Friday, four films, including two Nepali productions, will hit theaters.
The Nepali-language films Dukhi Atma and Rangi will be joined by Hollywood’s much-anticipated Captain America: Brave New World and Bollywood’s Chhava.
Advance ticket sales have already begun, with theater owners assigning showtimes based on the cast and past box office performance.
Dukhi Atma, starring Dayahang Rai and Aanchal Sharma, is leading with approximately 150 shows.
In contrast, Rangi, featuring Salon Basnet and Namrata Shrestha, has secured only 56 shows, which is lower than expected.
The high number of shows for Dukhi Atma is a positive sign, especially since the film has generated significant buzz through its teaser and songs. Rangi, the debut film of former Miss Nepal Namrata Shrestha, is also highly anticipated.
While its teaser and songs have piqued interest, the film will likely need strong word-of-mouth to draw audiences to theaters.
The Bollywood action film Chhava, starring Vicky Kaushal, has been allocated around 116 shows. As for Captain America: Brave New World, its show count will be finalized and announced by this evening.
In addition to these upcoming releases, theaters are currently screening a variety of films, including Actor: Take One, Mummy, Deva, Juna, Sarang, Badass Ravikumar, and Purnabahadurko Sarangi.
