KATHMANDU: TIME Magazine has once again revealed its much-anticipated list of the 100 Most Influential People in the world for the year 2025. This year’s edition brings together some of the most powerful voices and talents across the globe—from music to film, politics to innovation.
Among the global stars making the list are British pop sensation Ed Sheeran, beloved actress Scarlett Johansson, versatile performers Adam Scott, Kristen Wiig, Rashida Jones, Diego Luna, and soulful singer Hozier. They are joined by prize-winning names like Danielle Deadwyler and acclaimed director Mohammad Rasoulof.
The Icons section of the list includes iconic names like Demi Moore, Adrien Brody, and Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada. TIME’s list is thoughtfully segmented into Leaders, Icons, Titans, Artists, Innovators, and Pioneers—leaving room for pioneers in every field.
Interestingly, no Bollywood celebrity has made it to the list this year. In the past, top Indian stars like Alia Bhatt (2024), Shah Rukh Khan (2023), and Deepika Padukone (2018) proudly represented Bollywood to the world. Adding further weight to this year’s lineup, the world’s biggest industry disruptor, tech trailblazer Elon Musk, and former U.S. President Donald Trump also feature on the list—more proof of their ongoing power to shape global conversation.
