KATHMANDU: After a long break from Hollywood, famous actor Johnny Depp is back with a new film titled ‘The Day Drinker’. Hollywood studio Lionsgate has officially released the first look of the movie and confirmed the beginning of its production.

Depp is back after emerging victorious in a high-profile court battle against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard. His return has created a lot of excitement among his fans and movie lovers around the world.

The film is directed by Marc Webb, a director of blockbuster movies like ‘500 Days of summer’ and ‘Snow White’. In ‘The Day Drinker’, Depp co-stars with renowned actress Penélope Cruz. Webb and Depp have also worked on other movies including Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Murder on the Orient Express.

The movie also includes Madelyn Cline, Manu Ríos, Aaron Piper, Juan Diego Botto, and Anika Bozhic. The movie informs us about a young barwoman (played by Cline) who works on an upper-class yacht. She becomes involved with an unnamed visitor (played by Depp), and they are part of an underworld operator (played by Cruz). When they begin investigating further about the mystery, they become involved in a deeper connection with one another.

Production of the film will begin soon in Spain. ‘The Day Drinker’ is being produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road, the same team behind the successful John Wick film series. Fans can look forward to seeing Depp shine again on the big screen.
