While there is much excitement in Nepali cinemas, this Friday will see the release of three diverse Nepali films, along with a high-energy Bollywood flick. Whether you’re into spine-chilling horror, heartwarming family drama, or action-packed entertainment, this week has something for everyone.
First comes Mummy—a horror-thriller that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The 124-minute film stars Priyanka Karki, Diya Maske, and Sulakshan Bharati in a spine-tingling mystery that begins the moment a family brings home a black cat. But beware—it’s strictly for audiences aged 17 and above!
Juna, a film aimed at being socially relevant, addresses issues such as child marriage and violence against women. Written by Jeevan Century, it features exceptional performances from Asmita Dhakal, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, and Rashmi Bhatt. This emotionally charged film spans 105 minutes and is one that can be viewed by all.
The second serious drama, Sarang, delves into the emotional toll of parents separating or divorcing, and the impact it has on their children. Starring Richa Sharma, Utpal Jha, and Aditya Karki, and directed by Prashant Tamang, this 128-minute emotional journey will undoubtedly touch hearts.
Adding to the thrill, Sunny Leone’s Bollywood action extravaganza, Badass Ravi Kumar, also hits the silver screen this week. Directed by Keith Gomes, the film features an ensemble cast, including Kirti Kulhari and Himesh Reshammiya, in a no-holds-barred, 142-minute action-packed ride!
Meanwhile, Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi continues to enjoy success after completing its remarkable 100-day run in theaters, while Actor: Take One enters its second consecutive week.
So many great options—time to grab some popcorn and head to the nearest cinema!
