KATHMADU: The much-prepared Nepali film Mahabhoj is all set for a grand release on Jestha 15 (May 28), the day of Republic Day celebrations. With the release date nearing, the makers have further upped the anticipation by revealing two strong posters that preview the film’s rich themes and strong storytelling.

The poster featuring the six lead actors of the movie: Aryan Sigdel, Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Gaumaya Gurung, and Malika Mahat in a money background already gives an impression that Mahabhoj explores deep social and political undertones, offering a power and corruption and survival story.

The second poster, however, takes us to the countryside setting of the film further establishing the atmosphere of the story. It also features Basundhara Bhusal, Buddhi Tamang, and Kamalmani Nepal, enhancing the star strength of a cast that is already seen as being real.

The movie is directed by multi-faceted director Dinesh Raut, Mahabhoj promises a good blend of entertainment and reflection. Raut reveals that the movie shows real-world socio-political events and how they affect the lives of ordinary people. Raut also mentioned , Mahabhoj is more than a film, it is a mirror to society a gripping tale of fact, struggle, and effects.

Starring an ensemble cast including Mohan Niraula, Pushkar Gurung, Binod Neupane, Abha Aryal, and Birendra Singh Kushwaha and the leads, the film will leave a strong impression on audiences. Produced under the collaborative banner of Clock Work Creation and Picture Frame, the film is backed by producer Himal Kadel and penned by writer Bikash Subedi.
