POKHARA: The grand preview premiere of the much-awaited film ‘Mahabhoj’ directed by Dinesh Raut was held in Pokhara on Monday.

The premiere was attended by the film’s lead actors Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Malika Mahat, Buddhi Tamang, director Dinesh Raut and producer Himal Kadariya, among others.

Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, Chief District Officer Durgadevi Sharma, some cooperative victims, personalities from various fields and journalists watched the film as spectators. After watching the film, the audience has widely praised its story, presentation style and the acting of the actors. However, along with the praise, there was also a kind of anger among the audience.

The audience, completely immersed in the film’s atmosphere, expressed their anger loudly, saying that ‘Mahabhoj’ could spark a rebellion like the film ‘Aago’ in the past. They expressed their belief that this film has the power to overthrow the ruling elite. Some viewers even warned that if any scenes in the film are cut under pressure from anyone, they will stand against the perpetrators.

The response to ‘Mahabhoj”s detailed portrayal of the story of cooperative victims was also received from the preview show held in Kathmandu a few days ago, where the audience gave a positive response. In addition, the audience also said that the film was entertaining.

The film, produced by Clock Work Creation and Picture Frame, is produced by Himal Kadaria. The film stars Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Malika Mahat, Gaumaya Gurung, Vasundhara Bhusal, Mohan Niraula and other actors in the lead roles. The film ‘Mahabhoj’ is set to hit screens nationwide on Friday, Jestha 30. After the successful premiere in Pokhara, its premiere is also being held in Butwal, Biratnagar and Dharan.
