Marvel Studios has just dropped the explosive first trailer for Thunderbolts, their highly anticipated action-packed thriller set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
The trailer, which debuted during the Super Bowl, teases high-stakes action, intense character dynamics, and a mysterious, all-powerful villain. Opening the trailer, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine says,
“The Avengers are not coming.”

The biggest reveal in the trailer is a shadowy, cape-wearing figure who can levitate and create devastating energy with a single gesture of his hand.
This powerful presence is heavily hinted to be Sentry, a Superman-level being from Marvel Comics.
Played by Lewis Pullman, Sentry gained his immense abilities from a failed super-soldier serum experiment.
Along with his incredible power comes a terrifying downside: the Void, a catastrophic force that threatens to consume everything in its path.
Will the Thunderbolts be able to control him, or is he the greatest threat they’ve ever faced?
