Netflix unveils 2025 lineup of Indian films and series

Netflix India has revealed its exciting lineup of original films, series, and shows for 2025, featuring fresh faces, returning stars, and surprising new performers.

Siddharth Anand is set to make his digital debut as the director of Jewelry Thief, starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Announcing the series, Khan, who recently survived a knife attack, joined the stage.

The show is described as a gripping crime drama: “A powerful crime lord hires a jewel thief to steal the world’s most expensive diamond, the ‘African Red Sun’.

His plan takes a dangerous turn, leading to suspense, twists, and unexpected events, sparking a deadly game of betrayal and deceit.”

The series will begin filming early this year and marks Khan’s return to Netflix after his 2018 series Sacred Games.

Netflix also announced Rana Naidu Season 2, bringing back Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati as the real-life uncle-nephew duo facing unique family challenges, with Arjun Rampal joining the cast.

In addition, the film Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao, was unveiled. The film follows a miser who gifts a toaster at a wedding, only to get caught up in a web of murder and violence.

Toaster also stars Sanya Malhotra, Abhishek Banerjee, and Upendra Limaye.

The third season of the popular web series Delhi Crime, starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Duggal, and Rajesh Tailang, was also announced, with Huma Qureshi and Sayani Gupta joining the cast in key roles.

Netflix also revealed Nadaniyan, featuring Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan.

The lead pair graced the stage to launch the first single from the film, “Tere Ishq Mein.”

Additionally, the film Aap Jaisa Koi, starring Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, was announced, following the lives of Srirenu Tripathi and Madhu Bose.

Alongside Delhi Crime Season 3, Netflix also revealed the second season of the critically acclaimed series Kohra.

In collaboration with Yash Raj Films, the streamer is set to release a murder mystery film titled Mandala, featuring Vaani Kapoor and Surveen Chawla.

The companies also announced Akka, a series starring National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, alongside Radhika Apte and Tanvi Azmi. Another exciting addition is the continuation of Neeraj Pandey’s Khaki series, beginning with the story set in Bihar.

Netflix will also release Test, a Tamil film directed by Shashikant for Vineet Pictures.

The film, starring Siddharth, Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine, explores an exciting relationship story set against the backdrop of cricket.

Additionally, Dining With The Kapoor Show will take audiences into the lives of Bollywood’s most iconic family, offering a heartfelt and intimate experience of food, fun, legacy, and cinema.

Finally, the first production by Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, tentatively titled The Ba**ds of Bollywood* (or possibly Stardom), was revealed. Shah Rukh Khan himself makes an appearance in this intriguing project.
