New Motion Poster of the USA Filmed Movie ‘Song of Snow’ Released

KATHMANDU: The poster of movie Hiyuko Geet (Song of Snow), which has been scripted and directed by theatre personality Bimal Suvedi, is finally out with introducing the leading actors of the film. The characterization is not just introduced through the poster, but the story has also been conveyed in symbolic way. The background of the thumbprint, sad eyes of the actor, and horizontal glance tend to suggest the endless wait of the character and displacement theme as well.

Suvedi, popular for his experimental plays through Theater Village, debuts in film-making with Hiyuko Geet, written, scripted, and directed by him. Assisting him in the script writing is Joyash Pandey, who has directed Sanghuro. The cast of the film includes Varsha Raut, Joyash Pandey, Akash Khatiwada, Shishir Karmacharya, and Pooja Chand.

Filmed in Ohio’s Cleveland and Pennsylvania’s Pittsburgh, Hiyuko Geet foregrounds the struggles, aspirations, and identity crises of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese and Nepali immigrants. The film delves into themes of injustice, oppression, and realities of different generations from Bhutan, Nepal, and America. Directed by Joyash Pandey, Bimal Suvedi, and Samundra Raj Ghimire under Happy Home Studios, the film is going to shed light on powerful, untold stories.
